The Curators

Meagan Atiyeh is a Portland, Oregon based curator who has helped realize over 100 projects for Oregon’s Art in Public Places program. She previously served as director of the NW Film & Video Festival for the Northwest Film Center, Portland Art Museum, and was a founding board member of Disjecta Contemporary Art Center.

Elizabeth Spavento is the Visual Arts Programmer at Space, Portland Maine.  She has worked extensively on projects with Portland’s leading arts organizations and has recently organized exhibitions for Interstitial, Seattle, Disjecta Contemporary Art Center in Portland and Open Source Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.

Additional curatorial and project support for ALL RISE was provided by Joey Veltkamp, a Seattle-based artist and writer; Max Cleary, a Seattle based artist, and Portland choreographer Tahni Holt, whose varied collaborations and solo work have been presented at On The Boards and Bumbershoot, PICA’s TBA Festival, and Fusebox Festival (Austin), as well as far off places in France, Idaho, and Georgia.
