Natalie Jenkins

ALL RISE is pleased to have commissioned Natalie Jenkins' first Seattle exhibition.

Natalie Jenkins' trans-

A site-specific installation that speaks to a transitional state between intention and permanency, -trans mimics impending buildings, calling attention to their place within the cityscape. Says Jenkins, "These are structures in metamorphosis, incomplete and impermanent. They are potential; not-yet-space. We watch to see progression but look away, leaving them as an unseen thing. I am calling attention to what amounts then to a voided space."

Natalie Jenkins is a Pacific Northwest artist pursuing her curatorial interests. Her sculptural works, formed from domestic ephemera, subvert reality’s hypocrisies. Jenkins’ work has been shown at the Museum of Contemporary Craft, Hoffman Gallery, Super Maker, Together Gallery (Portland, OR.), Sacramento City College Library, and Tangent Gallery (Sacramento, CA.) She has won The Brannon-Boeklehide Award, “Best in Show” at the Hoffman Gallery Juried Student Show, the Oregon College of Art and Craft Academic and Artistic Achievement Award. Jenkins earned her BFA from the Oregon College of Art and Craft. She is a member of SOIL Art Gallery. This is her first Seattle exhibition.
